Fiat 600 D Multipla ‘Jolly’ (LHD) – For sale in London
Stunning Italian Craftsmanship
Magnificent in pastel Blue
Hand crafted wicker seats
Later enlarged 767cc engine
With some 2.5 million 600/600D fiats built between 1955 and 1969, the compact, rear-engined saloon proved to be an outstanding success for the Italian company, allowing families to travel in unparalleled style and comfort. Because of this success it was appropriately developed into various other variants, including sporting and competition versions by Abarth. The most exclusive of them all was of course the Jolly variant. Starting from the 500, the Jolly was developed after chairman, Gianni Agneli needed a ‘land dinghy’ to carry aboard his yacht, but reputedly only 400 Jollys in total were manufactured in totally.
This beautiful Fiat 600 D Multipla has been restored and refigured by the most talented Italian craftsman to exacting Jolly specification. Having been stripped to bare metal, restored and repainted to an extremely high standard, it would be hard to find another example in such beautiful condition. Finished in magnificent pastel Blue with charismatic hand crafted wicker seats and bright chrome details this truly is an exquisite car.
The details around the car are as stunning as the photographs suggest. Beautiful chrome wheel trims with complementary white wall tyres set the car off beautifully. A fringed surrey top compliments the styling of the jolly, and designed to ensure all passengers are traveling in complete comfort, ideally through picturesque villages to the bright sun-kissed beaches of the Italian rivera.
Our Jolly is an absolute joy to drive, it has to be one of the cutest and chic cars available today. Seating comfortably 6, 2 up front and 4 inwards facing each other, it will only bring a smile to anyone who is lucky enough to travel in her.
Our chic Multipla Jolly is available for viewing at the DD Classics Dealership in London, please call to book an appointment.
Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (FIAT to you and I) was founded by Giovanni Agnelli in 1899. Their first car 3 ½ CV had a strong resembledence to contemporary Benz, only 25 examples were built. By 1910 Fiat had established itself as Italia's biggest car manufacturer and expanded to the US, where a new plant was built in Poughkeepsie, NY.
At that time Fiat cars were big and luxurious barges for the wealthy or barking mad racing cars like S76 , The beast of Turin, with its 290HP 28.5-liter, four-cylinder engine.
However, today Fiat is better reknown for its small symphatic peoples carriers, Topolino, 500 "Cinquecento" and 600.
What ever your favorite Fiat is, you'll find it for sale here at www.classicdigest.com
