Outstanding Build Quality & Featured in Street Rod Builder Magazine
This 1938 Ford 81A Club Coupe can be traced all the way back to the original owner in 1938; four total drivers have appeared on the title across its lifetime.  The previous owner stripped this beauty down to bare metal and rebuilt it from the ground up with the very best components money can buy, so it drives sensationally and looks like a brand new classic automobile.  We have broken down the major customizations and parts below-
The Body
A close-up inspection of this 1938 Ford 81A Coupe reveals an absolutely flawless exterior with high end custom paint, beautiful flowing chrome work and sensational body lines.  The polished blower blends seamlessly into the hood like it was there from day one, which accurately summarizes everything about this entire build- extreme elegance and very tasteful.  The grille up front looks like a piece of art in itself and the build is completed with 14" Torque-Thrust II wheels with BFG radials up front and 15’s in the rear.  You can spend weeks staring at this gorgeous body before fully appreciating the outstanding craftsmanship and sophistication.
The Interior
The interior of this 1938 Ford 81A Deluxe Body Club is also first class with a custom white leather interior extending from floor to ceiling.  The dash is finished in the same breathtaking exterior urethane paint and the VDO gauges are mounted on simple stainless to give a beautiful vintage look/feel.  Likewise, the chrome floor shifter and the tilt steering column with Banjo steering wheel really stands out as exceptional. You’ll only find the slightest, most minimal signs of wear in the interior anywhere.  It would have been very easy to go over the top but the current owner really nailed it- which is why this one keeps bringing home first place trophies wherever it goes.
The Drivetrain
Additionally, this 1938 Ford 81A Deluxe Body Club really goes to another level with a show quality engine compartment that also delivers some serious power.  The polished Weiand 6:71 blower really completes the look and all that power is handled nicely with an full air ride  suspension with a four link rear setup with a panhard bar and a Mustang II front suspension and a Flaming River rack & pinion steering.  With a forged steel crank and so many extras to make this the most complete street rod around, it would be almost impossible to find a higher quality build on the open market.

Multiple Trophy Winner Driven Only 650 Lifetime Miles
Overall, this 1938 Ford 81A Deluxe Body Club Coupe is one of the nicest examples we’ve ever seen and it still has Best in Show potential on practically any stage.  You couldn’t build this elite street rod for anything near the current asking price and it’s definitely going to become the pinnacle of one serious collection in the days ahead.  It simply won’t last at this price.  For more information about this impressive vehicle, visit our Fairfield, California showroom, give us a call at 707-419-8200, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # F13274 as well.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
