Porsche 911 / 964 Turbo 1993

General description : This 964 Turbo was delivered to its first owner in Switzerland in 1993. The car stayed there until 2006, when a German Lufthansa pilot bought the car. The car changed owners in Germany once more when the car came into the hands of a Porsche collector. From that moment on the car was driven very sparingly. The air-cooled Porsche Turbo provides a fabulous driving experience on its own account, but has now also become a sought-after car for collectors and investors. A highlight of the car we have on offer is the colour; Rubystone Red, a colour that was initially reserved for the RS models. It is believed that of the 964 Turbos produced only five were delivered in this colour. The car also boasts an exceptional interior. With the stitching and the seat belts in the outdoor colour, grey RAF-leather was used throughout the interior, at an additional charge. A sliding roof and air conditioning are also part of the car’s assets. As documented by photos, we had the bonnet resprayed to fix a scratch in the paint. Other than that, the car is practically as new, and it comes with a complete file of car documentation including a stamped maintenance booklet. Its past is entirely damage-free.

About Porsche 911 / 964
The Porsche 964 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 models produced between 1989 and 1994. It was the successor to the Porsche 3.2 Carrera and was designed to be a more refined and modern version of the classic Porsche 911.

One of the major changes in the 964 was the introduction of an all-wheel-drive system, called the Carrera 4. The 964 was also the first Porsche 911 to feature power steering, anti-lock brakes, and an airbag as standard equipment. In addition, the suspension was updated to provide a smoother ride and better handling.

The 964 was powered by a range of engines, including a 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six, a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, and a 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six. The top-of-the-line 964 Turbo S was capable of producing 385 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest production cars of its time.

Today, the Porsche 964 is considered a classic sports car and is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. While it may not have the same level of performance as some of the newer Porsche 911 models, the 964 is still a thrilling car to drive and offers a unique driving experience that is difficult to replicate with modern cars.

As a hobbyist car, the Porsche 964 is popular among collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy working on and restoring classic cars. Its relatively simple design and mechanics make it a good choice for those who are interested in learning about automotive restoration and maintenance.

Overall, the Porsche 964 is an important part of Porsche's history and remains a beloved car among automotive enthusiasts around the world. Its unique combination of classic styling, modern features, and high performance capabilities make it a true icon of the Porsche brand.
