Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to be offering this 1926 Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe for sale. A charming Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe in excellent running order. The Rolls Royce body is an Abbot of Farnham design fitted decades ago with the car carrying Abbot coach plates to the door sills. The whole Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe is sound, correct-looking and nicely finished cosmetically. It is painted in two shades of blue, complimented by an excellent blue leather interior and matching blue mohair hood. Correct items include, nickel radiator lamps and other bright-work, 21” wheels with Dunlop Fort tyres which add to the authentic appearance and feel.
The Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe body is equipped with a capacious dickey seat to the rear and also a bench type seat behind the driver’s seat allowing provision for six occupants. There is also a large wooden storage cabinet to the back of the driver’s seat. A single side mount spare wheel sits on the off side running board. The interior leather is Connolly hide of the highest quality complimented by blue Wilton carpets.
During the period of the 1980's the Rolls Royce had a full engine rebuild and underwent a general restoration. The Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe appears not to have covered many miles since then for a long period. It was stored in a large private collection and saw sporadic use. The Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe starts readily and drives beautifully. The Rolls Royce engine is quiet with a supple ride making the whole experience pleasant. The Rolls Royce 20HP Doctors Coupe retains its original under-trays and with a large Klaxon horn mounted under the bonnet. It exhibits good oil pressure around 20lbs when hot with the temperature never exceeding seventy degrees.
