Schon vor dem 2. Weltkrieg gab es einen RR Wraith. Der Wagen war modern, mit Einzelradaufhängung an der Vorderachse. 1946 präsentierte Rolls-Royce seine erste Nachkriegs-Konstruktion. Viele Gleichteile mit dem fast zeitgleich vorgestellten Bentley MK VI verwirklichten die geplanten Rationalisierungs-Maßnahmen. Aber im Gegensatz zum Bentley MK VI oder dem RR Silver Dawn lieferte man traditionell nur das Chassis. Die Aufbauten wurden indi-viduell nach Kundenwunsch bei diversen Aufbau-Herstellern angefertigt.
Unser RR Silver Wraith entstand 1950 bei H.J. Mulliner. Die Karosserie ist als Touring-Limousine mit Trennwand ausgeführt. Das Interieur ist aufwändig verarbeitet, mit herrlicher Intarsienarbeit und Barfach. Dieser Oldtimer wurde 1982 vom berühmten RR-Händler David Scott-Moncrieff, genannt "Bunty", gekauft. Der entsprechende Schriftverkehr liegt vor. Über die Jahre ist der RR in einen Topp-Zustand versetzt worden. Die Ausstrahlung einer handgefertigten Karosserie wurde trotzdem bewahrt.
