General description :
1924 Sunbeam 4.5 litre 24/70 tourer
Chassis Number: 7079D
Registration number: BF7480
A magnificent late 4.5 litre Sunbeam tourer. The car was first supplied to the antipodes in engine & chassis form, prior to receiving its current Australian body.
It is featured in the recognised authority of the marque: The Sunbeam 16hp and 24 H.P., 1915-1924, by Bruce Dowell and Alan Richens. The car is in excellent condition having been completely restored from the chassis up. It comes complete with full hood and side screens. To the rear is a commodious motoring trunk for tools, picnic requisites & luggage.
Presented in British Racing Green with bare aluminium bonnet, black hood, brand new tan hide interior with matching carpets, this is a very original pre-war classic car retaining its original engine and gearbox. The dash has its full quotient of period instrumentation. The car is large, imposing & drives beautifully making an excellent alternative to a 4.5 litre Bentley.
A more modern carb has been fitted to this 4.5 litre 24/70 Sunbeam tourer to increase performance & smooth running. You really have to come & see this car, to appreciate how big & imposing it is & more importantly how well it drives.
