Im Februar 2011 knackte der finnische Ex-Rallyeweltmeister Juha Kankkunen in einem Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible mit 330,695 km/h den Geschwindigkeitsrekord auf Eis. Auf dem Genfer Autosalon präsentiert der britische Hersteller nun das passende Sondermodell, den „Ice Speed Record“ limitiert auf 500 Stück!
Im Sondermodell leistet der bekannte Sechsliter-Turbo-W12-Motor dank Feintuning an Lufteinlässen, Ladeluftkühler und Abgasanlage 640 statt 630 PS und ein maximales Drehmoment von 800 Nm. Von null auf 100 km/h geht es in vier Sekunden. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit beträgt 325 km/h. Zum Halten gebracht wird der 2,4-Tonnen schwere Sportwagen von Karbon-Keramik-Bremsen.
Unser Continental ISR besitzt die Nummer 3 von nur 500 limitierten Fahrzeugen und präsentiert sich im Neuwagenzustand ohne Mängel, Kratzer oder sonstigen Beschädigungen aus 1. Hand mit absoluter Vollausstattung!
In February 2011 the Finnish ex-world rally champion Juha Kankkunen broke the speed record on ice with 330.695 km/h in a Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible. At the Geneva Motor Show the British manufacturer is now presenting the matching special model, the "Ice Speed Record" limited to 500 units!
In the special model, the well-known six-litre turbo W12 engine delivers 640 instead of 630 hp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm thanks to fine tuning of the air intakes, intercooler and exhaust system. It goes from zero to 100 km/h in four seconds. The top speed is 325 km/h. The 2.4-ton sports car is brought to a halt by carbon-ceramic brakes.

Bentley lämnade bolaget när hans kontrakt löpte ut 1935 vederbörligen gå Lagonda. Detta var i början av som i slutändan låta Bentley bilar blir bara badge-engineered Rolls-Royce.
