Sensational 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria Hardtop
The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria 2 Door Hardtop with shiny Raven Black factory paint and a red/white cloth interior with vinyl upholstery.  You’ll find a code-correct 352 cid V-8 2v engine under the hood with a 3-speed Cruise-o-Matic automatic transmission.  This completely unmolested survivor will take your breath away in person and remind you of a forgotten era in automotive excellence- it has to be seen to be truly appreciated since there are so few true survivors like this one around anymore.
Black Plate Survivor Enjoyed by Original Owner Until 2018
This 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria Hardtop has a great life story- it was purchased new from Golden Bear Ford in Berkeley, California in March of 1961.  The current owner was a neighborhood paperboy at the time and remembers seeing it gleaming in the original owner’s driveway for the first time.  He has admired this beautiful classic ever since and finally got the opportunity to purchase it from the original owner a few months ago.
Additionally, this 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria has remained in the same Northern California San Francisco Bay Area its entire life.  Most of the paint appears to be original as does the complete interior and most other aspects of this desirable vehicle.  The original owner had custom seat and dash covers made the year it was new and they’ve remained in place this classic’s entire life, which is why this survivor’s condition really stands out.  While it is certainly not perfect by any means, you only get one chance to restore a true survivor and this beauty hasn’t been touched.
This 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria Hardtop also has the correct 352 motor, 3-speed automatic and 3:1 axle ratios as indicated by the VIN codes, yet we do not have any documentation to certify that this is a numbers-matching vehicle.  What we can tell you though is that this prestigious classic is like a time capsule of an early 60’s sporty family car that still manages to turn a lot of heads.
Must be Seen in Person to Truly Appreciate
Overall, this 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria is one of the nicest true survivors we’ve come across this year and knowing its entire history makes it all the more special.  It has been loved throughout its entire life.  This one definitely won’t last long at the current asking price so you definitely want to come see this one for yourself ASAP.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Fairfield, California showroom, give us a call at 707-419-8200, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # F13289 as well.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
