General description :
When the new style limousines with fins were introduced in mid-1959, the pontoon coupés all of a sudden looked quite old. Nevertheless, the 220 SE b coupé remained on the market until February 1961. In early 1968, the the model was converted to 2.8 liters. From November 1969, the coupé and convertible with the wider and flatter radiotor grill (nickname “flat cooler”) became avaiable. Our MB 280 SE flat cooler coupé is from Germany with only one previous owner. The cardboard cover letter is present. The color combination silver-green with pine green roof (both metallic) and green original leather and tinted windows is incredibly elegant. The mileage of only about 135,000 km seems reasonable. The classic car was extensively overhauled without damaging its originality. The original engine was rebuilt, as was the gearbox. The axles have been overhauled, the tank, shock absorbers, compensating springs, brakes, rubber parts and seals are new. The interior has been carefully worked up. The conclusion was then a complete seal. This car offers a lot of Mercedes quality and classic charm.
